Cheryl Kong

Cheryl has a BSc in Statistics from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Professional Accountancy. Cheryl is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience. She holds two accountancy memberships. One with CAANZ and the other with CPA Australia.

Cheryl began her career in Australia working for Nugents Pty Ltd, a mid-sized accountancy practice. She then relocated to Mayfair working for private equity firm Oakley Capital. Later, she worked for Goldenberg Hehmeyer LLP, an algorithmic trading firm in Canary Wharf. Cheryl has held a variety of titles such as Finance Manager and eventually Chief Financial Officer. Cheryl has been responsible for management and financial accounts, compliance, employee appraisals, and corporate strategy.

Cheryl has hired and interviewed for a variety of roles in the finance, legal, and trading departments. For example, Cheryl has hired graduates, analysts, legal officers, and senior accountants.


Karl Green

Karl has a Law LLB from the University of Sheffield. He has worked in the investment banking and investment management industries for over 20 years, specialising in equity research across a broad range of industry sectors, including business services, technology, utilities, paper & packaging, tobacco, and banks.

Karl recently left Credit Suisse in London, where he was a Director of Equity Research for 5 years. He is currently building an independent research and consulting practice, leveraging his deep knowledge of capital markets accumulated at Credit Suisse, the Co-operative Asset Management, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Commerzbank, and ABN Amro.

In his various roles as a senior research analyst, including sector team head, Karl has been responsible for hiring experienced finance professionals into Director and VP-level analyst roles and has been significantly involved in both graduate recruitment and summer internship programmes. Additionally, he has been involved in the mentoring of junior colleagues, understanding the critical importance of talent development to organisational success.


Sarah Wilt

Sarah has a BSc in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. She has worked for 10 years in the US before relocating to the UK. She has worked as a HR Manager for Gap Inc in the US, and later as a Senior HR Executive at Tesco plc in the UK.

In her roles, she was responsible for advising and implementing organisational policies, managing employer and employee relations, and identifying as well as solving training needs.

Above all, Sarah was responsible for recruiting and interviewing staff as well as reviewing employee performances and making bonuses and progressions recommendations. Sarah hired and interviewed for a variety of positions. For example, Sarah interviewed for graduate programmes, as well as more senior roles such as Store Manager.

Sarah now has children and works part-time as a HR consultant.


Raya Yunakova

Raya holds a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the the Technical University of Sofia and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Leicester.

Raya is currently the Programme Director at Pi Labs, a venture capital firm in London, where she manages the pre-seed investments and early-stage growth programme. Earlier, Raya was a Senior Programme Manager at Microsoft, and was responsible for technical audience relations in 25 countries across Europe and Central Asia. She grew Microsoft’s cloud platform and developer tools among 1M+ developers and IT professionals.

Raya is also a co-founder of Nimero, a technology startup that allows teachers to collaborate with students and provide feedback. Half of all Bulgarian schools, and worldwide about 24,000 students, use Nimero's products at the moment.

Raya has interviewed graduate students and senior staff for a variety of roles such as investment managers, compliance officers, finance officers, programme managers, developers, brand ambassadors, and marketers. She also interviews hundreds of founders every year who apply to Pi Labs for investment.


Winnie Liang

Winnie Liang has a Law LLB from University College London. She completed her training contract with Langleys Solicitors and afterwards she worked for a variety of law firms such as Anthony Gold Solicitors. She started off as a paralegal, became later a Trainee Solicitor and Solicitor, and eventually made it Partner.

Winnie has primarily worked in commercial property (e.g. sales, purchase, options and overage agreements, conditional contracts). She has worked with small business clients as well as large corporations. As Partner, Winnie led her corporate team and developed the corporate offering.

She has overseen hiring for a variety of positions such as Senior Solicitors or Legal Executives. Most importantly, she has overseen the selection and interviewing of graduate candidates for work experience placements and training contracts.

Winnie now has a son and is largely dedicating her time to him.


Graham Dockrill

Graham has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury. He has been working in the tech industry for the last 25 years and during this time founded and successfully sold several tech start-ups. For example, in 1999 he founded hairyLemon Digital, a digital agency. During Graham’s time, hairyLemon Digital grew from one staff to 40 and generated $50m in total revenue.

At the moment Graham is an advisor to and investor in a variety of start-ups. He has worked with start-ups such as FluentIQ, InsuredHQ, or Resident Tax. Graham is also Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Canterbury where he helps students to launch their own for-profit or social enterprises.

Graham has hired graduate students, front-end and back-end developers, marketers, HR personnel, office managers, accountants, legal and compliance officers, operations managers, and managing directors.

Graham spends half his time in London and half in New Zealand.
